Blackburn Building is owned and operated by Francois Gagnon-Blackburn. Francois began his carpentry career in 2007, in the Kootenay region, where he learnt the art of custom home building from foundation to finish from excellent mentors. He received a hands-on, comprehensive education regarding all aspects of the building process throughout his Apprenticeship at Selkirk College to becoming a Red Seal Journeyman Carpenter. Francois's diverse background provides him with the knowledge and skills necessary for industrial, commercial, residential fields of construction; as well as, custom carpentry and woodworking. Since then he has gone onto running his own business in the Greater Vancouver Area where many unique projects and opportunities where presented to him.  There, he was able to display his knowledge and skills to a range of different clients and customers.  

Francois continues to keep up with current building trends to offer clients all the opportunities that are available to them. His passion for the trade is evident in the craftsmanship of his work which drives him to provide an extraordinary product and experience to clients. He is always open to discuss and answer any questions that a client may have because he truly values the responsibility of building a space for the client.
